Project Duration

A backyard deck with full sun on the south side needed shade, and the customer wanted the fit against the rail and house double-checked before any building started.

Measurements were confirmed on-site before assembly began, since the space along the rail and siding left little room for error. Parts were hauled from the garage to the deck, then sorted by part number on the ground with hardware organized on a folding table to keep the build moving. The frame went up on the first visit, and the roof went on during a second visit, then the whole structure was anchored securely to the deck boards for a permanent, sturdy fit. Packing material and other debris were bagged up and hauled off before the job wrapped up.

The deck’s sunny southern side now has real shade, with a pergola that fits cleanly between the rail and roof just as planned. Hardware was checked and the structure confirmed secure before leaving. The customer now has a shaded spot to enjoy the deck through the hottest part of the day.
